Born in Dallas, June Marieezy has built her career between the United States and the Philippines, where she settled in 2008 and pursued several years of musical studies in Manila. Under the name ((( O ))), an intentionally unpronounceable alias, the Filipino-American singer-songwriter develops a soft, stripped-back sound blending hushed soul, alternative pop, folk and downtempo textures. Her light voice and intimate songwriting first took root on Manila’s local scene and later traveled to stages across Asia and Europe, with appearances at the Malasimbo Music & Arts Festival, in Hong Kong, London and Malaysia. ((( O ))) also entered FKJ’s orbit after meeting him in 2015, featuring on tracks such as “Fly” and “Vibin’ Out with ((( O )))”, the latter appearing on the 2017 album French Kiwi Juice. In 2018, ((( O ))) announced a cycle of regular releases tied to the full moons, called “moondrops”, extending a personal project centered on consistent writing and an organic aesthetic.
