School of X

Rasmus Littauer's project School of X occupies Copenhagen's indie-pop scene with a blend of alternative pop, art pop and introspective songwriting. Originally active as a drummer and collaborator with MØ in the international pop world, Littauer framed a more personal endeavour with School of X, where the voice remains central, supported by melodic guitars, understated keyboards and often flexible rhythms that shift between slow ballads and more electronic tracks. School of X emerged with the EP Faded.Dream in 2017, followed by Destiny in 2019, establishing an aesthetic marked by mildly psychedelic atmospheres and direct melodic work. The release of the album Armlock in 2020, and later Dancing Through the Void in 2021, confirmed a songwriting approach oriented toward structured pop formats while retaining a taste for detailed arrangements. With Earthly Life in 2023, School of X further accentuates contrasts between intimacy, more expansive impulses and synthetic sounds, while continuing to perform live both as a full band and in more stripped-back configurations.
