Dame Area
In Barcelona, since the second half of the 2010s, Dame Area has developed a sound that sits between industrial electronic, minimal post‑punk and tribal rhythms. Built around Silvia Konstance and Viktor L. Crux, the duo works with repetitive structures, forward‑driving percussion and dry synth lines, with chanted or spoken vocals that alternate between tension and litany. Dame Area is rooted in the Iberian underground, closely connected to the Catalan experimental scene, before gradually extending their tours to alternative clubs and festivals across Europe. The release of the album «Ondas Tribales» in 2021 on the Italian label Mannequin Records marks a significant step, defining a sound where EBM‑adjacent pulses, industrial elements and the sparest new wave coexist. On stage Dame Area favour a direct approach—using repetition, the physical energy of tempos and a reduced stage setup—which grounds the project in a raw, immediate aesthetic while remaining open to hybridisations between electronic cultures and post‑punk heritage.
