Amistat

Formed by twin brothers Josef and Jan Prasil, Amistat develops an acoustic folk sound with indie-pop inflections, carried by two closely linked voices, direct songwriting and spare arrangements. Born in Germany and raised in Italy within a family with Czech and Australian ties, the two musicians first built their path in Australia before returning to settle in Europe in 2019. Active since 2012, Amistat has released several EPs and has gradually established itself on the Australian and then the European folk scenes, with a repertoire centred on vocal harmonies, acoustic guitars and songs that draw on movement, personal bonds and the experience of travel. The duo has toured Europe, the United Kingdom and Australia, notably after a joint tour with Sons of the East in 2019, and subsequently as headliners of their own shows. In 2022 Amistat played more than 150 dates across 10 countries, extending a trajectory now shared across multiple international scenes.
