Majesty

Formed in Germany around the singer Tarek Maghary, Majesty is rooted in a traditional heavy metal lineage often associated with true metal, with songs built on direct riffs, catchy choruses and imagery shaped by fantasy, battles and the celebration of metal itself. Active since the late 1990s, the band first drew attention in the festival circuit and on the European metal scene before releasing Sword and Sorcery in 2002, followed by Reign in Glory in 2003. Over the years Majesty has undergone several lineup changes while maintaining a musical identity faithful to classic heavy metal. At one time renamed Metalforce between 2008 and 2011, the band released under that name the album Metalforce in 2009 before returning to its original name. The rest of the discography continues this line with Hellforces in 2006, Thunder Rider and Banners High in 2013, Generation Steel in 2015, Rebels in 2017, Legends in 2019 and Back to Attack in 2023. Majesty also shared the bill with several groups from the European metal scene and played at specialized festivals, in a trajectory closely tied to the culture of traditional heavy metal. The band ceased activity in 2023.
