she's green

Formed in Minneapolis, she’s green develops a songwriting style situated between shoegaze and dream pop, with a strong taste for hazy textures, enveloping guitars and airy melodies. The quintet — Liam Armstrong, Zofia Smith, Raines Lucas, Kevin Seebeck and Teddy Nordvold — sometimes describe their music as “moss music,” a phrase that evokes an organic, dreamlike imagination nourished as much by J.R.R. Tolkien and Hayao Miyazaki as by references such as Slowdive or Cocteau Twins. she’s green emerged on the American indie scene in the early 2020s with tracks where sonic density remains tied to a direct approach to emotion. In 2023 they released the EP Wisteria, which includes “Mandy,” and they extended this aesthetic with Chrysalis in 2025. From record to record, she’s green broadens its spectrum, juxtaposing rougher passages with brighter sections while maintaining a clear sense of atmosphere and concise songwriting held together by a constant tension between softness, saturation and melodic clarity.
