Bandit Bandit

Originally from Montpellier, France, Bandit Bandit has been developing a French‑sung psychedelic rock sound since the late 2010s, characterized by dark atmospheres and slow rhythms. Formed in 2018 as a voice‑and‑guitar duo, the project made an impression on the independent scene with a self-titled EP in 2019, already showcasing direct French lyrics, saturated guitar tones and an aesthetic drawing inspiration both from 1970s rock and from more contemporary sonics. The 2021 EP Tachycardie pushed that tension further between heavy ballads and edgier tracks, playing on contrasts of whispers and explosions while consolidating a carefully crafted visual identity in videos and on stage. The first album, 11:11, released in 2023, continues this approach with songs that alternate hypnotic moods, more immediate choruses and passages verging on cold wave, and established the group on a touring circuit of clubs and festivals in France and abroad, where the duo translates its psychedelic rock universe into a dense, immersive live experience.
