Murdock

From Belgium, Murdock has, since the early 2000s, developed a career centered on drum and bass, with detours into dubstep and other forms of bass music. A DJ, producer and curator, Murdock first made a name for himself by organising club nights before becoming a regular presence at festivals and on electronic music stages. His broadcasting work also marked his trajectory: for fifteen years he hosted a weekly show on a national radio station while releasing mixes and building his own labels, Radar Records and later Rampage Recordings. In the studio, Murdock has released tracks on CIA Recordings, V Recordings, Dispatch Recordings, Viper Recordings and Liquicity Records. His work also includes collaborations with Netsky, Submatik and Doctrine, as well as vocal contributions from Jenna G, MC Mota, Sena Dagadu and MC Shystie. In both his sets and his productions, Murdock navigates between liquid, jump up and darker textures, with a direct rhythmic writing style and a constant attention to the contrast between recent tracks and genre classics.
