Master Peace
Since the late 2010s, Master Peace has occupied a distinctive place on the London scene, positioned between indie rock, alternative pop and influences from British rap. Driven by an almost punk-like energy, Master Peace crafts guitar-centered tracks with direct choruses and a delivery that shifts between melodic singing and spoken-word phrasing, in an aesthetic that evokes both 2000s indie and contemporary UK urban scenes. After several singles released online, a first significant milestone came with the EP "Love Bites" in 2021, which placed Master Peace on a hybrid ground between club anthems, post-punk tension and introspective songwriting. The EP "Public Display of Affection" in 2023 continued this exploration of the short-format approach, alternating fast numbers and more melodic pieces, before the album "How To Make A Master Peace" in 2024 gathered these different facets within a more structured framework. On stage, Master Peace performs in rock contexts as well as on bills oriented toward rap or alternative music, cultivating a close bond with the new generation of London audiences and collectives.
