Aesthetic Perfection

Electro‑industrial project launched in the early 2000s in Los Angeles, Aesthetic Perfection is built around American singer and producer Daniel Graves, who handles its songwriting, production and vocal identity. The project fits an aesthetic that combines EBM, aggrotech and synth pop, with a marked contrast between aggressive vocals, melodic choruses and club‑oriented rhythms. Aesthetic Perfection drew attention on the industrial scene with the album 'Close to Human' (2005), followed by 'A Violent Emotion' (2008) and 'All Beauty Destroyed' (2011), which mark a gradual shift from a harsh, dense sound toward songwriting more structured around song formats. With 'Til Death' (2014) and 'Into the Black' (2019), Daniel Graves pushed this approach further—he describes it as 'industrial pop'—integrating influences from contemporary pop while retaining a dark electronic base. The catalogue also includes 'Blood Spills Not Far From The Wound' (2015), a reinterpretation of an earlier side project. On stage, Aesthetic Perfection tours extensively in Europe and North America, often as part of goth and electro‑industrial bills, with a live lineup of variable configuration built around Graves. At the end of the 2010s, Aesthetic Perfection evolved toward a more independent model based on regular single releases and a direct relationship with its audience.
