Amorphis bring the Borderland Tour 2027 to O2 Forum Kentish Town in London on 3 February 2027. The Finnish band moves with ease between melodic death metal roots, progressive twists and folk-tinged motifs, carried by layered guitars, keys and the interplay of harsh and clean vocals. On stage, their songs stretch and breathe, shifting from dense riffs to spacious passages, threading recent releases with earlier staples for a set that feels both heavy and atmospheric.
Special guests Insomnium come from Joensuu with a melodic death metal built on mid-tempo pulse, Nordic melodies and a measured dose of doom. Their writing balances weight and contemplation, favouring harmonised guitars, melancholic textures and fluid structures that sometimes edge toward the progressive. Over the years, the core of Niilo Sevänen, Ville Friman and Markus Hirvonen has shaped records that explore narrative forms too, from the single-piece arc of Winter’s Gate to the historically inspired Anno 1696. Live, that sensibility translates into long lines, dynamic contrasts and a steady, immersive flow.
Unto Others complete the bill, setting the tone for a night that leans into mood, melody and shadow across different shades of metal.
