Info
The Cinematic Orchestra hits the road again with Counting Backwards, and will stop at Den Atelier in Luxembourg on 9 April 2027. Led by Jason Swinscoe, the London collective has since the late 1990s carved out a distinctive sound at the crossroads of nu jazz, downtempo, and cinematic electronic music. On stage, it breathes like a jazz group, but with layered writing, studio textures and orchestral swells that give the impression of stepping into a film. Expect a set where improvisation sits alongside long-form themes, between hushed pulsations, ambient textures, brass and strings, and their characteristic way of building tension without rushing. After milestones such as Motion, Man with a Movie Camera, Ma Fleur, or To Believe, the concert promises a living, moving format, carried by musicians who reinvent the material in real time. The countdown has begun.
