Info
On 24 April 2027, Kim Churchill will perform at Patronaat in Haarlem, with a set centered on rhythm, voice, and movement. The Australian singer-songwriter hails from a folk and roots world shaped just as much by surf culture as by endless touring. Do not expect a static performance: Churchill builds his songs live with acoustic guitar, harmonica, and percussion, often played simultaneously, making it feel more like one continuous groove than a collection of separate songs. In his repertoire, he moves smoothly between intimate ballads and a more direct, alternative rock energy, with here and there a touch of understated blues and melodic pop. Those who know him from albums such as Detail of Distance, Silence/Win, and Weight Falls, or from the EP I Am, will recognize that nomadic writing style: personal, on the road, and made to be breathed aloud in the venue.
