Info
On February 12, 2027, Giles Corey lands at The Grand Social in Dublin for a live set that sits in Dan Barrett’s most stripped-back corner. Known for Have a Nice Life and Black Wing, Barrett uses Giles Corey to slow everything down: spare songs, lingering tempos, and a fog of lo-fi textures where dark folk, slowcore, ambient and drone quietly bleed into each other.
Expect a show built on intimacy rather than impact: often acoustic lines, confession-like songwriting, and long constructions that let silence and noise share the same space. The sound stays deliberately veiled, with rough edges and grainy layers that turn simple motifs into soundscapes. It’s less about genre tricks than about atmosphere and tension, hovering between folk song and experimental drift, with that funeral calm Giles Corey is known for.
