Info
On February 5, 2027, Josh Rouse brings his songwriter craft to Whelan’s in Dublin for a set that traces the many shades of his quietly distinctive pop. First known for a folk- and Americana-leaning approach that took shape around Nashville, he writes songs built on clear melodies, a restrained groove and that soft, direct voice that never oversells the emotion. Expect the show to move easily between indie pop, alt-country touches and the kind of 1970s-flavored American songwriting he’s always nodded to.
Over the years, his move to Spain also opened the door to warmer, Mediterranean and Latin colors, sometimes slipping into Spanish-language passages without losing the intimacy of his early records. From hushed ballads to brighter, leaner pop moments, this Dublin date is a chance to hear a catalog that’s stayed consistent in spirit while constantly changing its palette.
