Info
On February 11, 2027, Too Many Zooz head to Scarron in Le Mans, with their “Audio Lipstick Tour.” Born in the corridors of the New York subway, the trio has forged a sound that hits you in the chest: an instrumental brass-house where brass rubs up against funk, hip-hop, and club-ready pulsations. At the center, Leo Pellegrino’s baritone sax delivers both riffs and bass lines, while Matt Doe’s trumpet slices through the space and David “King of Sludge” Parks pushes the groove to the front, like a living rhythm machine.
Discovered in the early 2010s thanks to performances captured in Union Square, they have kept that raw street energy as they moved from improvised spots to international stages. On stage, it unfolds in loops, crescendos, and relances: a set conceived as a continuous flow, between nerve-wracking jazz and dance culture. From Subway Gawdz to more recent releases, their repertoire serves mainly one aim: to move people without letting the tension go.
