Info
Agnes Obel brings her chamber-pop universe to Théâtre Capitole in Québec on May 24, 2027. As a singer-songwriter, pianist, and producer, she writes songs where piano is the anchor and strings slip in like a second voice, building quiet tension rather than big gestures. Her sound sits somewhere between intimate folk and modern classical, with slow melodies, close vocal harmonies, and arrangements that feel both minimal and cinematic.
Onstage, Obel tends to keep things stripped and precise, reshaping tracks from Philharmonics, Aventine, Citizen of Glass, and Myopia for a chamber-leaning setup. Expect circular piano motifs, layered vocals, and that suspended atmosphere she does so well, where each note has room to breathe and the songs unfold like short scenes. A set made for listening in full focus, with details that land differently live.
