Info
On December 21, 2026, The Brand New Heavies bring their deep London groove to Blue Note London for a night built on the kind of band chemistry you can’t fake. Born out of the late-80s acid jazz scene, they’ve always sat right at the crossroads of funk, soul and jazz-funk: tight drums, elastic bass lines, sharp guitar chops, and room for vocals to lead the charge.
Expect a set that moves through the different chapters of their story, from early breakthrough material to the more contemporary edges they’ve explored over the years, where classic musicianship meets modern soul and hints of hip-hop attitude. Still driven by core members Simon Bartholomew and Andrew Levy, with Angela Ricci on vocals, this is a chance to catch a live band that knows how to lock into a groove and keep it rolling without losing the detail.
