On March 26, 2027, Fatoumata Diawara will be at Les Arcs in Quéven for a concert that promises to bring heritage and the present into dialogue. Born in Côte d’Ivoire to Malian parents, the singer, author and composer has established herself with an expansive Afro-pop, where Wassoulou and Mandingo blues meet soul and electronic textures. On stage, her clear, powerful voice carries songs about the condition of women, exile, identity and hope, with simple words and a rhythm that never lets up.
Also known for her acting career, notably in the film Timbuktu, she has pursued numerous musical collaborations, from Oumou Sangaré to Damon Albarn, from Disclosure to Gorillaz, and with Matthieu Chedid. In Quéven, audiences come mainly for that: hypnotic grooves, melodies that linger, and a presence that turns each track into a collective, direct and living moment.
