Info
We invite Cormac to Yamamori Tengu for three shows over the course of three months to host our tenth residency with Tengu. For the second edition he invites London based DJ and producer Josh Caffe to the booth for his Irish debut.
Cormac, the Irish born DJ and curator, offers a contemporary take on hi-nrg, italo, house, techno, and nu-wave that captures the pulse of modern queer club culture. A longtime fixture at clubs around the world, he commands dancefloors with an energy that has earned him a reputation as a reliable figure of his generation. His taste displays deep historical awareness, bridging eras of queer club music while pushing its future forward. From Sónar to Bassiani to Glastonbury, Cormac has become a trusted presence on the global festival and club circuit.
In 2021 he launched Polari Records, a label dedicated to elevating lgbtq+ artistry and championing queer creativity. Polari has become a platform for both emerging innovators and established pioneers, reflecting Cormac’s broader work as a curator, community advocate, and custodian of queer club heritage. As a producer, he has released on labels including Ostgut Ton, Running Back, and his own Polari Records, along with mixes for BBC Radio 1’s Essential Mix, Beats in Space, Resident Advisor, and DJ Mag.
January 2024 marked the launch of Queerly Beloved, Cormac’s podcast exploring how music shapes the lives of lgbtqia+ artists and allies. He continues to expand his voice as a queer health advocate and cultural archivist.
Josh Caffe has spent the last decade on a journey through London’s party scene. As a DJ, singer songwriter, producer and activist of British Ugandan descent, Caffe’s influence has been felt everywhere from club institutions to his own Love Child party at Fabric, where he has held a residency.
Collaborating with international artists in dance music and fashion such as Honey Dijon, Erol Alkan, Paranoid London and more, his work captures his vision of queer liberation and sensuality. Caffe’s material is charismatic, frenetic and rich in inspiration, from classic Chicago house, UK acid culture, 00s rap and his heroes, Prince and Grace Jones. All of these influences echo through Caffe’s selections as a DJ. Having forged an intimate connection with dancers across the sphere of underground house and techno, we look forward to his Irish debut with us.
