On December 9, 2026, Sekou will perform at De Melkweg in Amsterdam with his British soul-pop that smoothly shifts between gospel, R&B and contemporary pop. His songs are built around voice and melody: ballads and mid-tempo tracks that leave room for a deep timbre, with choir-like harmonies and here and there a subtle funk edge. Sekou first got noticed as a teenager with covers that circulated online, but on stage he makes it his own: direct, controlled and unpretentious. He has since appeared at major festivals and as a supporting act for established names, and is building a live repertoire that leans as much on emotion as on tight arrangements. After the EP Out of Mind (2023), this concert is a moment to hear how his material grows in a club setting, close-up and with a focus on the song.”
