Since signing with Hopestreet Recordings in Melbourne in 2015, The Meltdown has drawn a clear line: an Australian soul nourished by Stax and Motown, with a real taste for Nashville-style songwriting. Around the lead singer and keyboardist Simon Burke, the ensemble lays down grooves that take their time, a tight brass section and direct melodies, between slow ballads and more rhythm-driven crescendos. On stage, the band balances vintage warmth with contemporary arrangements, without showiness, letting the voice and the ensemble do the work.
On November 20, 2026, The Meltdown will perform at Centre Culturel Le Family in Landerneau with Better Days - 10th Anniversary Tour, an opportunity to revisit ten years of songs that drift between soul, rhythm and blues and Americana touches, and to rediscover that sense of the chorus and the tension that sticks to the body.
