Two Friends arrive in Calgary on August 2, 2026, at the Palace Theatre, to launch Chasing Summer Day 1. Behind this name is a duo formed in Los Angeles by Eli Sones and Matthew Halper, who first tinkered with hip-hop productions before tipping into melodic electro, straddling dance-pop, progressive house, and mashup culture.
On stage, Two Friends have made a name for themselves with their tracks ("Forever", "Overdose", and tracks from their EPs Out of Love and Useless), but above all with the Big Bootie Mixes, those long sessions that fuse pop, rap and EDM with a highly effective collage sensibility. Their sets alternate catchy choruses, smoothly engineered build-ups and rapid transitions, in a format tailored for both large arenas and festivals. Coachella, a Las Vegas residency, and a series of collabs (from Bryce Vine to Bebe Rexha) have solidified their identity: approachable, rhythm-driven electro designed to be sung as much as danced to.
