Cinder Well is the project of Los Angeles-based songwriter, composer and multi-instrumentalist Amelia Baker, whose blend of contemporary folk, traditional song and cinematic composition has earned acclaim. Her forthcoming album, A Blooming Body, expands her textured sound into a more immersive and expansive form, balancing delicate acoustic arrangements with evocative storytelling.
Alongside composing the original score for the BBC series Small Prophets, Cinder Well has toured across the US and Europe, sharing stages with Lankum, Reverend Kristin Michael Hayter, Pallbearer and 40 Watt Sun, while appearing at festivals including Roadburn, End of the Road and Amplifest. A 2024 NPR Tiny Desk performance further cemented her reputation as a notable contemporary folk voice.
