Ultra Vomit heads out on tour on April 24, 2027, at Théâtre Les Cordeliers in Romans-sur-Isère. Formed in Nantes in the late 1990s, the band has carved out a distinctive place in French metal by blending death metal, grindcore and classic heavy metal, with a self-assured sense of offbeat humour and French lyrics that play with the subversion of conventions. On record, the trajectory reads as a rising arc of well-crafted pastiche: M. Patate (2004) still very grind, Objectif : Thunes (2008) more open in structure and references, then Panzer Surprise! (2017) where styles clash, between short formats, pop nods and variations on metal subgenres. In live performance, it's a machine for switching registers, driven by vocals that alternate growls, shrieks and clean singing, and writing that toys with the history of rock and metal without losing its impact.
