Cock Robin returns to the stage on May 25, 2027 at Stereolux in Nantes, with the 85-89 tour, conceived as a return to basics. At the helm is Peter Kingsbery, a songwriter, singer and multi-instrumentalist who shaped the band's identity from the mid-1980s, blending pop rock, new wave and taut melodies.
The concert promises a setlist focused exclusively on the first three albums, the ones that established Cock Robin on the music scene, especially in Europe: Cock Robin (1985), After Here Through Midland (1987) and First Love: Last Rites (1989). A way to dive back into that period when Kingsbery's writing, his keyboards and his immediate choruses gave birth to tracks that would become classics such as The Promise You Made, When Your Heart Is Weak or Just Around The Corner.
Since the reformations and lineup changes, Cock Robin has continued to move forward, but this date is billed as a pause dedicated to the energy and sound of the early days, to rediscover the band's essence on stage.
