On July 19, 2026, Pat Metheny returns to the stage at the Barbican Centre in London with Side-Eye III+, a format conceived as a live laboratory, tailored for improvisation and exchange. A guitarist and composer who has shaped contemporary jazz since the late 1970s, Metheny retains that rare sense of melody that moves straight ahead, while broadening the field of textures and harmonies.
Side-Eye is an opportunity to follow him in a more direct mode of playing, energized by the moment, between fluid writing and taking risks.
