Lido Pimienta arrives in Madrid on November 3, 2026 to perform at Sala Villanos. Born in Barranquilla and based in Canada, the artist has spent more than a decade crossing art pop and synthpop with Caribbean rhythms and Afro-Colombian and Indigenous traditions, with cumbia and bullerengue as a starting point. In concert, her music moves between refined electronic foundations and a voice at the forefront, sustaining songs where themes of identity, migration, and cultural heritage also surface. Her career includes the debut Color (2010) and the leap with La Papessa (2016), a self-produced work that put her on the international radar and won the Polaris Music Prize in 2017. After that, Miss Colombia (2020) sharpened that clash between experimental pop, synthetic textures, and direct references to Colombia. In recent years she broadened the format with Lido TV (2022) and, more recently, with La Belleza (2025), where her writing opens to a more orchestral dimension.
