On July 10, 2026, 3BallMTY arrive at Sala Apolo in Barcelona with a set focused on tribal guarachero and its intersection with club electronic music. Born in Monterrey in 2009, the project began as a trio and, since 2016, has continued as a duo made up of Sergio Zavala and Alberto Presenda. Their approach blends latin-house foundations and popular Mexican rhythms with structures designed for the dance floor: tight basslines, percussive patterns, and melodic hooks that borrow phrases from Latin pop and regional Mexican music.

The set reviews a trajectory that took off with “Inténtalo” and their self-titled 2011 album, and that reached new audiences with Globall (2014) and Somos (2020). In between, collaborations with América Sierra, El Bebeto, Becky G and Gerardo Ortiz have helped refine a club language that preserves the tribal pulse while connecting it to pop hooks. They have also played international circuits such as SXSW and in 2012 received the Latin Grammy for Best New Artist, a milestone that marked their expansion.

In concert, 3BallMTY employ quick transitions, punchy dry drops and percussion-heavy breaks, alternating sampled vocals and instrumental motifs. Amid new productions and reinterpretations, recognizable tracks like “Inténtalo” appear, fitted into a flow that prioritizes dancing and the energy of the moment. At Sala Apolo, the duo extends that formula into a night of Latin electronic music stamped by Monterrey.
