Info
On February 21, 2027, Ariel Posen is coming to Papiersaal in Zurich and brings with him a sound that sits somewhere between roots rock, blues, folk and soul. Known as the guitarist for The Bros. Landreth, he stands in the spotlight solo in a very different way: as a songwriter and singer who builds his arrangements from the song itself, rather than getting lost in technique.
Live, you can look forward to his melodic slide guitar playing, warm and detailed, often more narrative than showy. Posen moves confidently between calm ballads, airy, atmospheric passages, and pieces with more groove. The last few years have clearly shaped his style, from How Long through Headway to Reasons Why, plus the EP Mile End. In Zurich, that meets a stage energy that lets the songs breathe and leaves plenty of room for nuances — for anyone who loves guitar music that primarily conveys melody and feeling.
