Info
On 1 November 2026, Alabama 3 play The Bodega Nottingham. Born out of the mid-90s Brixton rave underground, the collective forged a hybrid of country twang, blues harmonica, gospel inflections and acid house pulse. Led by Rob Spragg, and long-time foil Jake Black until 2019, they twist Southern imagery through a British lens, rolling slide guitars and breakbeats into sermon-like mantras and steady chugs. Their debut Exile on Coldharbour Lane set the tone, followed by La Peste, Power in the Blood, Outlaw, M.O.R., Revolver Soul, Blues and Step 13, a thread that keeps bending genres without dropping the groove. Woke Up This Morning carried their name beyond the UK as the theme from The Sopranos, but on stage the catalogue runs wider, from rave-blues stompers to slow-burning ballads and spoken word incantations. Today the band moves forward around Spragg and an expanded crew of collaborators, sharpening the mix of machines and guitars for a live show built on call-and-response hooks, harmonica blasts and four-to-the-floor undercurrents.
