Benin International Musical (BIM) is a musical project and live performance, presented on 27 July 2026 at 6:30 pm at Band on the Wall, that brings together a collective of Beninese artists blending traditional voodoo rhythms and ancestral songs with modern genres such as trip-hop, hip-hop, rock, and electronic music. The project presents a cultural journey reflecting both the spiritual heritage of the former Kingdom of Dahomey and the contemporary energy of Cotonou’s club scene.
Initiated by Hervé Riesen and produced by Jérôme Ettinger, BIM is a multidisciplinary initiative combining music, radio, education, and visual arts. The project highlights Benin’s musical heritage and the development of its contemporary scene.
Through performances, workshops, and media productions, BIM connects traditional ceremonies, religious influences, and global musical trends.
