Info

Yaelokre brings a singular folk-pop universe to O2 Academy Birmingham on 28 October 2026. Led by Filipino-Icelandic singer-songwriter and multimedia artist Keath Ósk, the project drifts between Reykjavik and the Philippines, folding acoustic folk and OPM influences into a narrative world called Meadowlark. Songs, drawings and stage personas feed into the same storyline, with characters appearing through masks and costumes to nudge the music into something closer to a tale told in chapters.

Live, Yaelokre keeps the voice upfront and the arrangements lean: fingerpicked guitar, soft percussion, a few bright textures that open space for the story. The set threads together tracks from the debut EP Hayfields (2014) and its online favourite Harpy Hare, then deepens the lore with pieces from Songs of Origin (2024) and Origins (2025). Expect shifts from intimate ballads to lighter folk-pop passages, small narrative interludes, and the occasional masked figure stepping in and out of view. After a support slot for Aurora in Manila in 2025, this date brings the Meadowlark world into focus on a bigger stage, without losing the quiet detail at the heart of Yaelokre’s writing.
