Info
The Bluetones celebrate 30 years of their debut Expecting To Fly at Concorde 2 in Brighton on 1 November 2026. On stage, the original lineup — Mark Morriss (vocals), Adam Devlin (guitar), Eds Chesters (drums) and Scott Morriss (bass) — will play the album in full, then dip into a set drawn from a catalogue that includes three Top 10 albums and 13 Top 40 singles.
Released in 1996, the platinum debut hit Number 1 in the UK, briefly nudging Oasis’ What’s The Story (Morning Glory) from the top spot. Its breakout single Slight Return reached Number 2, anchoring the band in the mid-90s britpop landscape with a melodic, jangly take on indie rock that still shapes their live sound. Three decades on, The Bluetones lean on sharp hooks, clear guitars and unshowy songwriting; this show lines up Expecting To Fly as a complete statement, followed by tracks from across their three decades together.
