Raised in Tulsa and now based in Nashville, she writes songs that balance unguarded emotion with quick-fire wit, pairing a radiant voice with a feel for narrative and showmanship. Her new album, Roadrunner!, channels a lifelong love of musical theatre into a modern reimagining of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Oklahoma! — a concept that also reads like an autobiography, with 17 songs that widen her palette without losing her plainspoken core.
