Info
Liam Bailey plays O2 Institute Birmingham on 18 September 2026, with a sound that blends classic soul, British bass culture and Jamaican inflections. Originally from Nottingham, the singer-songwriter made his mark with a raspy voice and direct songwriting, equally at ease in stripped-down acoustic formats as in more pronounced grooves. Spotted early by Amy Winehouse and released on her Lioness Records label, he went on to collaborate widely across the UK scene—from Chase & Status ("Blind Faith") to Shy FX ("Soon Come")—without losing the thread of music centred on the song.
On stage, Bailey draws from his debut album Definitely Now and showcases the more recent directions of Ekundayo, Enfant Terrible and Zero Grace, crafted with Leon Michels, El Michels Affair and St Francis Hotel. Warm basslines, lo-fi soul textures, folk-rock touches and melodies of melancholic charm shape an organic set in which the voice remains at the centre—raw and intimate, between soulful confession and reggae cadence.
