Slam Dunk presents Nevertel

Nevertel is the project of three childhood friends from Tampa: Jeremy Michael (vocals), Raul Lopez (vocals, guitar, production) and Alec Davis (guitar). First assembled in 2014 under the name Living Fiction, the trio regrouped after Lopez caught Linkin Park’s Carnivores tour and pitched a plan to turn their shared influences into something current and personal. Their writing leans into the borderlands between nu metal, rap and alternative rock, threading electronic textures through tense guitars, melodic choruses and rapid-fire verses, without sliding into a strictly metalcore frame.

On 16 June 2026 at The Cluny in Newcastle upon Tyne, Nevertel brings that crossover approach to the stage. The set draws a line from their early material to the evolution heard on Everything in My Mind and their 2025 album Start Again, released after signing to Epitaph. It’s a live format built on contrasts and precision: sung hooks against clipped flows, heavy riffs against synth glow, all carried by the tight chemistry of three friends who grew up gaming together as much as they studied songcraft.
