Info
Alabama 3 bring their Brixton-born blend of country, blues and acid house to King Tut’s Wah Wah Hut in Glasgow on 6 November 2026. Formed in 1995 around Rob Spragg and the late Jake Black, the collective — also known as A3 in the US — came out of London’s rave scene with a clear aim: splice American roots music with electronic and trip-hop textures, gospel inflections, harmonica and gritty blues guitars. Their debut Exile on Coldharbour Lane set the tone, with Woke Up This Morning taking their name far beyond the UK via The Sopranos. Since then they’ve added chapters with La Peste, Power in the Blood, Outlaw, M.O.R., Revolver Soul, Blues and Step 13, keeping their Southern-inspired imagery reframed from a British angle. After Jake Black’s passing in 2019, the band has continued around Spragg and an extended circle of collaborators, revisiting catalogue staples and newer cuts with a beat-led drive that’s become their signature. Plus special guests.
