Nathan Carter

Nathan Carter and his band bring a cross‑channel take on country music to the Alhambra Theatre in Dunfermline on 26 November 2026. Born in Liverpool to a family from Newry, Carter grew up between Irish traditions and Anglo-American country before moving to Ireland at 18. A singer and multi-instrumentalist on accordion, guitar and piano, he has shaped a repertoire that runs from country and Irish folk to the country-and-Irish songbook, mixing ballads, standards and popular tradition in straightforward, melodic arrangements.

He introduced himself with Starting Out (2007), followed by The Way You Love Me (2010) and Time of My Life (2011), then reached a wider public with his version of Wagon Wheel on the 2012 album of the same name. Since then, the releases have kept coming: Where I Wanna Be (2013), Beautiful Life (2015), Stayin' Up All Night (2016), Livin' the Dream (2017), Irish Heartland (2019), Little Old Town (2021), The Morning After (2022), Music Man (2023) and Crazy Christmas (2024). On stage, he focuses on the singing, country covers and Celtic colours, backed by his band and by his shifts between accordion, guitar and keys.
