Info
Marillion bring their progressive rock to Cambridge Corn Exchange, Cambridge, on 24 September 2026. Formed in the late 1970s, the band first broke through with Fish on vocals and albums like Script for a Jester’s Tear, Fugazi and Misplaced Childhood, where extended pieces met a clear melodic sense. Since 1989, Steve Hogarth’s voice and lyrics have steered the group toward a more intimate, atmospheric register, carried by Steve Rothery’s guitar, Mark Kelly’s keyboards and the steady groove of Pete Trewavas and Ian Mosley. On stage, they draw from a catalogue that runs from Seasons End and Brave to Marbles, F E A R and An Hour Before It’s Dark, balancing long-form narratives with quieter, detailed moments.
Haunt the Woods join the bill for this date in Cambridge, opening the evening with their own material and setting the room before Marillion take over. A concise introduction to their world, in contrast with the seasoned craft of the headliners.
