The Surfrajettes

Rockin Dogs and La Maroquinerie present The Surfrajettes, performing on October 4, 2026 at 5:30 PM at La Maroquinerie.

The Surfrajettes are an instrumental quartet from Toronto, Canada. Since forming in late 2015, the band has delivered a blend of psychedelic rock and reverb-drenched surf music, complete with beehive hairstyles, go-go boots and heavy eyeliner. They gained attention online with DIY videos that went viral, as well as with an appearance at Norman’s Rare Guitars in Los Angeles. Their first 45 RPM single, “Party Line / Toxic,” released in late 2018 on Hi-Tide Recordings, was followed by tours that included performances on The Beach Boys Cruise and The Melissa Etheridge Cruise, as well as at festivals such as Sea.Hear.Now, Nashville Boogie, Wild O Fest in Mexico, the Surf Guitar 101 Convention, Tiki Oasis and the Hi-Tide Summer Holiday in Asbury Park.

They then spent the end of 2020 and much of 2021 writing and recording their debut album, Roller Fink (Hi-Tide Recordings / Virgin Music), released in 2022. Between tours in Canada, the United States and Europe, they wrote their second album, Easy as Pie, which was released in October 2025.

The Surfrajettes consist of guitarists Shermy Freeman and Nicole Damoff, bassist Abby Jo Powell and drummer Annie Lillis.
