Ella Mai

London-born R&B singer Ella Mai stops at Fållan in Johanneshov, Sweden on September 15, 2026. Raised between London and New York before returning to the UK, she writes at the crossroads of British R&B and American tradition. After an early stint on The X Factor with the trio Arize, she went solo and posted her first tracks online, catching the attention of producer Mustard, who signed her to his 10 Summers label in Los Angeles. This led to the EPs Time and Change in 2016, then Ready in 2017; Boo’d Up opened the doors to a wider audience and set up her self-titled debut album in 2018, followed by Heart on My Sleeve in 2022.

On stage, Ella Mai delivers contemporary R&B shaped by supple vocals, mid-to-slow tempos and melodic hooks that nod to 90s and 2000s soul and R&B. Ballads, slow jams and pop-leaning cuts share space in a set that draws across her catalog, from the early EPs to Heart on My Sleeve. The show leans into intimate storytelling around love and its flipsides, carried by an unhurried groove and clear, singable refrains, with room for Boo’d Up and other key tracks.
