Chasing Abbey

On 6 November 2026 Chasing Abbey will play at Patronaat in Haarlem. The trio from Tullamore — three childhood friends who share a love of hip-hop, pop and electronic dance — build live on that mix: melodic vocal lines intersect with rap flows, set to tight, rhythmic productions that invite movement. Since their breakthrough with the self-released single "That Good Thing" in 2017, the group has charted its own course, with lyrics grounded in everyday life, relationships and the social energy of Irish youth.

Following the EP The Odyssey Project (2018), a string of singles saw Chasing Abbey hone their sound. In recent years melodies from the Irish tradition have also crept in, as on "Oh My Johnny (Banks of the Roses)", not in a nostalgic way but with a club-focused production suited to the present. On stage this yields a set where pop hooks and rap cadences alternate, with choruses that stick immediately and beats that propel the room.

In Haarlem that hybrid approach will come fully to life: tight, direct and designed for a communal release, from the first drop to the last hook.
