Seefeel emerged from London’s underground in the early ’90s and became one of the era’s forward-looking groups by blurring the boundaries between guitar music and electronic experimentation.
They were initially seen as part of the shoegaze wave alongside bands such as My Bloody Valentine and Slowdive, but Seefeel’s use of samplers, loops and processed soundscapes pointed toward a different future — one closer to the emerging IDM sound.
It was this hybrid vision and the band’s growing affinity with electronic music that culminated in Seefeel, in 1994, becoming the first guitar-driven band signed to Warp Records — a landmark moment for the label, which until then had been exclusively a dance label.
Today Seefeel are regarded as a notable name in experimental music and have helped shape a sound that has become influential over time. The concert will take place at Rust on 6 May 2026 at 17:00.
