O.R.B.

ORB are a heavy-psych power trio from Geelong, Australia, blending doom-laden riffs, fuzzed-out proto-metal and cosmic groove. Featuring members Zak Olsen, Daff Gravolin and John Zacharias, the band grew from informal jams into a distinctive underground psychedelic rock act.

They debuted with the Womb cassette (2015), followed by Birth (2016) and Naturality (2017), records that showcased their mix of Sabbath-weight, psychedelic sprawl and off-kilter melody. After a quiet spell, ORB returned with Tailem Bend (2024), expanding their palette into sun-baked psych-pop and funk-leaning rhythms. In 2025 the band self-released their first single with new drummer John Zacharias. Mind Over Matter / End Times draws on their early 60s rhythm and blues influences. The single debuted on Seattle’s KEXP radio, and the band was then invited to play a live set to kick off their 2025 US tour.

Live, ORB operate as a raw, improvisational power trio, loud, hypnotic and heavy without pretension. With one foot in classic hard rock and another in the outer reaches of psych experimentation, they continue to evolve while remaining themselves.
