Altin Gün: North America Tour 2026

On 7 September 2026, Altin Gün play The Pearl in Vancouver. Formed in Amsterdam around bassist Jasper Verhulst, the Dutch-Turkish band revisits Anatolian folk and late-60s/70s rock, reshaping standards and deep cuts with psychedelic guitars, nimble funk pulses and synth-forward textures, while keeping Turkish vocals and lines of saz or bağlama at the core. Their live flow leans into hypnotic riffs, supple basslines and disco-tinged rhythms, opening a clear dialogue between tradition and modern arrangements.

The set draws on On (2018), Gece (2019, Grammy-nominated), Yol (2021), Âlem (2021, digital) and Aşk (2023), balancing reworks and originals as keys and electronics take a bigger role over time. Shaped on tour across Europe, Turkey and North America, the group’s sound is anchored in tight grooves, fluid interplay and melodies that stick.
