Altin Gün - America tour 2026

Altin Gün brings its Dutch–Turkish take on Anatolian rock to Danforth Music Hall in Toronto on September 18, 2026. Formed in Amsterdam around bassist Jasper Verhulst, the band revisits 60s and 70s Turkish folk and rock alongside their own material, reshaping it with psychedelic guitars, warm basslines and a supple funk pulse. Turkish vocals lead the melodies while saz or bağlama lines thread through analog keys and busy percussion. On stage, the arrangements lean into a hypnotic, dance-focused drive without losing the grain of the originals.

The set spans the releases that traced their path: the debut On (2018) and Gece (2019), a Grammy-nominated milestone; then Yol and the digital-only Âlem in 2021, and Aşk in 2023, where synths and electronic textures take more space. Expect tight call-and-response between guitars and keyboards, breaks opening into extended riffs, and a flow that shifts from slow-burning traditionals to quicker, disco-tinged rhythms. A live snapshot of where Anatolian repertoire meets contemporary psych rock, played by a band that builds everything for the stage.
