Info
Black Sea Dahu arrives at Changó on April 26, 2026. The project, born in Zurich and led by singer-songwriter Janine Cathrein, brings together a small core of musicians in a flexible format, halfway between a band and a collective. Their terrain is indie folk with a measured pulse, led by acoustic guitars, a deep voice that sets the mood, and restrained string and percussion arrangements. After an initial phase under the name Josh, the group established its identity with White Creatures (2018) and the EP No Fire In The Sand, and broadened its palette with I Am My Mother (2022), where more electric textures and wider structures appear without losing focus on the song.
In concert, Black Sea Dahu arranges its lineup according to the space: from a stripped-down set to an expanded formation that reinforces the vocal harmonies. In Madrid they will offer a journey through their repertoire with attention to detail, restrained dynamics and a play of layers that breathes between silences and subtle crescendos. It will be a look at their most recent phase and the compositions they have shaped on the road, with intimacy as their compass.
