El Último De La Fila

On April 25, 2026, El Último De La Fila arrives at Marenostrum Fuengirola in Fuengirola, bringing the partnership that has traced a distinctive trajectory within Spanish pop rock. Manolo García and Quimi Portet, collaborators since their days in Los Rápidos and Los Burros, refine here the chemistry between García’s voice and Portet’s guitar to merge the energy of rock with new wave flashes, Mediterranean inflections, and echoes of rumba and flamenco. Lyrics about everyday life, at times introspective, and an immediate rhythmic drive sustain a repertoire familiar to several generations.

Formed in Barcelona in the mid-’80s, they first made themselves known with Cuando la pobreza entra por la puerta, el amor salta por la ventana and cemented their position with Enemigos de lo ajeno and Como la cabeza al sombrero. In the ’90s they moved toward more elaborate arrangements on albums such as Nuevo pequeño catálogo de seres y estares, Astronomía razonable, and La rebelión de los hombres rana, honing a language of their own. In Fuengirola, the duo revisits that songbook tied to a key period of the Spanish scene, accompanied by a band that understands the dynamic between García’s voice and Portet’s guitar.
