Donny Benét

Donny Benét lands in Aarhus on 24 September 2026 at TRAIN in Denmark, bringing a blend of pop, disco, funk and italo-disco shaped by 1980s production. The Sydney songwriter and bassist introduced his crooner persona and bass-forward touch with Don’t Hold Back and Electric Love, then opened his universe to guests on the collaborative Weekend at Donny’s. With The Don, he leaned into melodic songwriting and understated humour, telling romantic stories over deep bass lines and baritone vocals. Mr Experience carried that soft rock and synth-pop thread with modern lounge moods, while the mostly instrumental Le Piano revealed a more contemplative side.

On stage, Benét plays with a band and keeps the groove at the centre, balancing slow burners and dance-leaning tracks. The set draws from this run of records, led by warm bass, analog synths and tight arrangements, with a stagecraft that favours clarity, pulse and small, well-placed winks to the 80s.
